Austin Gilgronis Matches Suspended 30 Days
AUSTIN, TX (March 12, 2020) – Major League Rugby (MLR) has suspended all matches for 30 days, effective immediately, to assess the impact of COVID-19. Tickets already purchased for matches during this time will be honored, should they be rescheduled. Ticket holders for these matches will also have the option to receive a refund.
The suspension affects the following 3 AG’s home matches, which were scheduled to be held at Bold Stadium at Circuit of the Americas (COTA):
- Sunday, March 15 against San Diego
- Sunday, March 29 against Atlanta
- Saturday, April 4 against Seattle
“The health and well-being of our fans, players and their families, and everyone involved in daily match day operations are our top priority. We support the MLR’s decision to suspend competition for 30 days. This will not stop us working hard behind the scenes, when safe to do so, to continue our season’s momentum. As more information becomes available about COVID-19 and how the League will handle matches moving forward, clear communication to our fans will be a top priority” commented Austin Gilgronis CEO, Matt Burgess.
