Moe Abdelmonem #7

The 28-year-old began playing rugby at the age of 8-years-old. Originally from Egypt, he moved to Canada and graduated from Citadel High School.

Moe played for the local club rugby team the Halifax Tars RFC, winning 6 provincial and 5 Maritime Championship titles in a row before enrolling at St. Mary’s to play rugby and study finance.

After graduation, Moe continued playing at the Provincial level for Nova Scotia. He was a key component in the teams’ first Eastern Championship win in 15 years in 2017.

In 2017, he moved to Victoria B.C. and played for the James Bay Athletic Association and shortly following was given an opportunity to play with Spotswood URFC in Taranaki, New Zealand.

After playing for Spotswood, Moe went back to James Bay where he was selected for the Canadian Centralized Program, where he represented Atlantic Rock Rugby, which competes in the Canadian Rugby Championship. The team is comprised of the best players amongst 6 provinces.
